Blue Wake is a diptych (two canvases painted to hang as one) measuring 40 inches high by 60 inches wide by 1.5 inches depth.  Coastal Connecticut has a wonderful ferry which crosses to Long Island in the summer.  My painting is inspired by watching from the back of the ferry looking out at gulls trailing it and the ocean being churned and beaten as if by a big spoon. I love the contrast of white and blue and to feel the power of the ocean. I have tried to capture this power in my painting.
