The title of this work expresses what I hope I have managed to express in paint. The sentiment is about the change in light as fall kicks in and I feel the world becoming more moody or dim as it gets darker earlier. The change seems to magically happen like a lamp automatically turning on with softer mellow light. Shadows quicken into shapes blurred at the edges and the evening glow of light seems to propel us inward. I love watching this time of year as we get ready for our long hibernation during winter.
