My goal in the work was to really push my boundaries with regards to my color selection. There are days when I paint that I strive for a challenge and this work did that for me. I used "loud" color and paired it with my usual "pastel" tinted ones to juxtaposition and create a jarring sensation. This painting creates loudness I think, like the noise on the street outside my studio!
