This is a large painting measuring 64 inches wide by 54 long and 1.5 in depth. I began with raw canvas stretched it then prepared it with gesso.  I chose to work larger than normal because I had to engage my whole body with large brushes to move across the canvas and it felt amazing.  I wanted to fill the canvas with beautiful spring greens that I observed around me. And I added the flowering trees of spring which often are white, and draw me in and fill me with such joy. Long winters are hard because color is such a stimulus for my work. I took nature from inside of me and expressed  it outward to the world, as if I was seeing it for the first time.  I hope you enjoy this work with as much joy as I had painting it.
