Spill the Tea is all about the difficulty of this work from its inception. It has been painted over and over, and eluded me for weeks. Because I work intuitively I often must wait until the nature of the work is revealed to me. This type of process cannot be forced and has a time line all of its own. My tea is a message to myself to say stop trying to paint like someone else because I can only be me after all is said and done! Lesson learned!
