Spill the Tea is all about the difficulty of this work from its inception. It has been painted over and over, and eluded me for weeks. Because I work intuitively I often must wait until the nature of the work is revealed to me. This type of process cannot be forced and has a time line all of its own. Spill the Tea is a message from the paintingt itself which revealed to met to stop trying to force the work, to have patience, to be present and the work will reveal itself.
